Sri Lanka Relaunch The First Train Service To The former Tamil Capital Of Kilinochchi

After more than 23 years, direct train services between Colombo and Kilinochchi resumed its operations on 14 September 2013 with the opening of the newly completed 63-kilometer track between Omanthai and Kilinochchi.  President Mahinda Rajapaksa is inaugurated the 'Yal Devi' railway service from Omanthai to Kilinochci as travelling a passenger. The train line is being reconstructed by the India Railway Construction International Ltd. (IRCON) with the assistance of the Indian government. Trainers Protect Elephants At Pinnawela Orphanage In Sri Lanka
